Private Training
Canine Behavioral Services provides strictly private training and behavior modification by appointment at the owner's home.
* For specific problems it may be necessary to meet at another location where the problem is most evident.
We specialize in behavior problems of ALL kinds.
Services:
Behavior modification: This service consists of two private sessions for a total of 3-4 hours.
Aggression issues of all types, Reactivity, food and object guarding, destructive behaviors, inter-dog aggression within a multi-dog household, separation anxiety, fear based behaviors, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, leash pulling, general unruly behavior, and all other behavior issues.
Our goal is to use positive counter conditioning methods to achieve the optimum outcome and change for you and your dog.

Puppy training: Two sessions for a total of 3-4 hours to help the new owner get the new puppy on the right path and prevent future problems. Subjects covered include, housebreaking, socialization, introduction to basic commands (sit, down, come). These two sessions will greatly improve your new puppy's performance in all future training and help prevent future problem behaviors.

Obedience enhancement: This service consists of three sessions (3-4 hours) designed for the owner who has already completed obedience training but is not satisfied with the current results. We will focus on the commands the owner feels need improvement. Typical commands addressed are Heel (loose leash walking), stay (down and sit) and 'come' (recall).

Canine Behavioral Services, LLC believes it’s never too late to teach your dog (and its owner) new and better behaviors. Our tailor-made services are designed with you and your pet in mind to ensure results.
The most important part of any successful behavior modification is the owner. The more you know and understand the greater the chance of success regardless of the nature of the problem. Our goal is to provide long-lasting impact through expert training.
We specialize in all behavior issues and problems, the most common being aggression of all types--territorial (typically at the home) aggression, reactivity, food and object guarding.
We also handle all other issues--destructive behaviors, separation anxiety, general unruly behaviors.
We use both operant and classical conditioning techniques and each and every dog is treated as an individual.
All trainings are fully customized to the dog, the owner, the family, and the real world living situation of the household.
Michael Batlan, owner of Canine Behavioral Services, LLC has been training dogs for over 25 years. He has privately trained over 4000 dogs of all types, sizes, temperaments, and with all different behavior issues.
He is a graduate of National K-9 School for Dog Trainers and holds a certification as a Master Trainer. He also received his certification in Canine Behavior via Cornell University's continuing education course in Canine Behavior and Ethology. Additionally, he was certified and licensed by the State of California as a Police K-9 trainer.
